Abisko National Park

Abisko National Park in Swedish Lapland lies north of the Arctic Circle, beside the lake Torneträsk, at about 512 m. It has a river canyon, birch forest and mountain slopes, and is known for clear skies in which northern lights can be seen. The Kungsleden trail begins here, and hikers and skiers use the area.
