Aigüestortes i Estany de Sant Maurici National Park in the Catalan Pyrenees is a high mountain park of granite peaks, many glacial lakes and meandering streams in flat valleys. It is Catalonia's only national park. Walkers follow marked routes and the Carros de Foc circuit links the mountain refuges.
