Diepkloof Rock Shelter
Diepkloof Rock Shelter is a rock shelter on the Verlorenvlei in Western Cape, South Africa, and an important archaeological site. Engraved ostrich eggshell fragments found there are among the earliest known symbolic objects. The site is mainly a research location, and the wetland and rocky hills around it are good for birdwatching.
