Drakensberg
The Drakensberg is the great escarpment in eastern South Africa, extending into Lesotho, where its highest point reaches about 3,482 m. Basalt cliffs, sandstone caves with ancient rock art and deep valleys make up the uKhahlamba-Drakensberg Park, a World Heritage site. Day walks, multi-day hikes and the Amphitheatre area draw hikers.
