Jura Mountains
The Jura Mountains are a range of long, forested limestone ridges along the border of France and Switzerland. They gave their name to the Jurassic period. Pastures, gorges and cave systems make up the landscape, and the Jura offers hiking, cross-country skiing and a long-distance trail, the Jura Crest Trail, along its main ridge.
