Laja Falls

The Laja Falls, known in Spanish as Salto del Laja, is a wide waterfall on the Laja River in the Biobío region of central Chile, sometimes called the Niagara of Chile. The river drops in several streams over a basalt step, at about 111 m elevation. Viewing areas and short paths lie on the banks, and the Panamerican highway passes close by.
