Lençóis Maranhenses National Park
Lençóis Maranhenses National Park in northeastern Brazil is a field of rolling white sand dunes. During part of the year rain fills the hollows between them with freshwater lagoons. Visitors cross the dunes on foot or by four-wheel-drive vehicle and swim or walk beside the lagoons.
