Mezmaiskaya cave

Mezmaiskaya Cave is a cave in the northwestern Caucasus of Russia, at about 1,310 m, and an important archaeological site. Neanderthal remains found here have been studied for genetic and cultural information. It lies in forested limestone hills where visitors can hike and see the surrounding karst.
