Orkhon Valley
The Orkhon Valley is a river valley in central Mongolia, along the Orkhon River, known for its grassland and cultural history. It holds ruins of ancient capitals and early Turkic stone inscriptions, and is a World Heritage cultural landscape. Visitors travel by road and on horseback, visit the Orkhon waterfall and stay with herder families.
