Parinacota
Parinacota is a stratovolcano of 6,348 m on the border of Chile and Bolivia, in the Andean altiplano. Next to it stands the twin Pomerape, and Lake Chungará lies at its foot in Lauca National Park. The area is a high plateau with vicuñas, flamingos and views across the Andes, and mountaineers climb the cone.
