Petrified Forest National Park
Petrified Forest National Park in northeastern Arizona preserves large deposits of fossilised trees from the Triassic period, set in a colourful badlands desert known as the Painted Desert. Visitors drive the park road, walk short trails among the logs and see ancient petroglyphs.
