Poyang Lake
Poyang Lake is the largest freshwater lake in China, in Jiangxi province, at 12 m, and its size varies greatly between the wet and dry periods. Its wetlands are an important wintering area for migratory birds, including cranes. Birdwatchers visit the reserves on its shores.
