Rhone Glacier
The Rhone Glacier is a glacier in the Swiss Alps in Valais, at about 2,627 m, at the source of the Rhône. Part of it is covered with blankets in summer to slow melting, and a tunnel is cut into the ice. Visitors walk a short path from the road and can follow trails to viewpoints in the surrounding mountains.
