Sierra Nevada

The Sierra Nevada is a long mountain range in eastern California, running along the edge of Nevada. It holds Yosemite, Sequoia and Kings Canyon national parks, granite domes, giant sequoia groves and Lake Tahoe. The John Muir Trail and part of the Pacific Crest Trail cross the high country, and Mount Whitney is the range's highest peak.
