Valtellina

The Valtellina is a long Alpine valley in Lombardy in northern Italy, along the Adda River, north of Lake Como and south of the Bernina range. Terraced vineyards cover the sunny northern slope, and the valley is known for wine and cheeses. Hikers, cyclists and skiers use the trails and ski areas around it.
