The Bavarian Forest is a low mountain range in southeastern Bavaria, Germany, along the Czech border. Wooded ridges and glacial lakes mark the area, and a national park protects part of it. Hikers, cyclists and cross-country skiers use marked routes, and a treetop walkway rises above the forest.
