Blue Nile Falls

The Blue Nile Falls, known locally as Tis Abay or smoking water, is a waterfall on the Blue Nile near Bahir Dar in northern Ethiopia. It spreads wide across a basalt ledge. A trail with a small bridge leads from the village of Tis Abay to viewpoints, and Lake Tana is a short distance upstream.
