Cabo Girão

Cabo Girão is a sea cliff on the south coast of Madeira, Portugal, with its edge at about 580 m above the Atlantic, among the highest in Europe. A cable car and a glass-floored platform sit at the top. The nearby slopes hold terraced farm plots, and walkers combine the viewpoint with trails along the island's levada channels.
