Cilician Gates
The Cilician Gates, known in Turkish as Gülek Boğazı, is a narrow pass through the Taurus Mountains in southern Turkey at about 1,280 m. It has linked the Anatolian plateau with the Cilician plain since antiquity and appears in many historical accounts. Today it is a route for road travellers and nature walkers.
