Mount Hasan is a stratovolcano of 3,268 m in the Aksaray province of central Turkey, one of the two great volcanoes of Central Anatolia with Erciyes. A twin-peaked cone rises above the plain not far from Cappadocia. Climbers reach the summit from the villages at its foot, and the wall painting of an erupting volcano at Çatalhöyük is often linked to it.
