Cotopaxi volcano
Cotopaxi is a cone-shaped, snow-capped volcano of 5,897 m in the Andes of Ecuador, south of Quito. It stands in Cotopaxi National Park, which has high páramo grassland, lakes and wild horses. Mountaineers climb it from refuges on its slopes, and other visitors walk the lower trails around the park.
