Easter Island

Easter Island, known locally as Rapa Nui, is a remote Polynesian island and a special territory of Chile in the Pacific. It is best known for its large carved stone figures, the moai. Visitors cover the volcanic landscape on foot, by bicycle and on horseback, and swim or surf from its small beaches.
