Galdhøpiggen, at about 2,469 m, is the highest mountain in Norway and in Scandinavia, in the Jotunheimen mountains near Lom. Glaciers cover its upper slopes. Hikers reach the summit from the Spiterstulen or Juvasshytta side, often with a guide for the glacier section, and mountain huts are found across the surrounding area.
