Independence Rock
Independence Rock is a large granite outcrop in central Wyoming, United States, beside the Sweetwater River. Travellers on the Oregon, Mormon and California trails stopped here in the nineteenth century, and many carved their names into the stone. It is a historic site with a short path and a view over the plain.
