The Jakobshavn Glacier, known locally as Sermeq Kujalleq, is a large outlet glacier of the Greenland ice sheet near Ilulissat on the west coast. It releases huge icebergs into the Ilulissat Icefjord. Visitors walk boardwalks and hiking trails to viewpoints above the fjord and take boat trips among the floating ice.
