Kaçkar Mountains National Park protects the high range of the eastern Black Sea region of Turkey, across Rize, Artvin and Erzurum provinces. Rocky summits, glacial lakes and green highland pastures lie above forested valleys. Multi-day treks link yayla settlements and passes, and climbers go for the main peaks.
