Lake Çıldır

Lake Çıldır is a high-altitude lake in Ardahan province in northeastern Turkey, at 1,959 m, close to the Georgian and Armenian borders. It has a small island with a monastery ruin and open grassland around it. People visit for fishing and the sleigh rides on the ice in winter.
