Lake İznik

Lake İznik is the largest lake in the Marmara region of Turkey, at 85 m, with the old town of İznik, the ancient Nicaea, on its eastern shore. Remains of the old city walls stand beside the water. People walk along the shoreline, cycle around the lake and visit the Byzantine and Ottoman sites.
