Lake Nicaragua
Lake Nicaragua is the largest lake in Central America, in southern Nicaragua, with its surface at 31 m. It holds hundreds of small islands and the twin-coned volcanic island of Ometepe. Visitors take boats to the islands and hike the volcano slopes and forest trails on Ometepe.
