Lake Orta
Lake Orta is a small lake in the Piedmont region of northern Italy, at 290 m, west of Lake Maggiore. A small island with a monastery sits near the old village of Orta San Giulio. People walk the lakeside lanes, take boats to the island and hike the hills above.
