Manthal Buddha Rock

The Manthal Buddha Rock is a large boulder in Skardu, in Gilgit-Baltistan in northern Pakistan, carved with a relief of a seated Buddha. The carving dates from the time when Buddhism spread across the region and is one of the area's best known historical landmarks. Visitors reach it by a short walk from the road beside the village of Manthal.
