Mercantour National Park
Mercantour National Park in southeastern France lies along the Italian border in the Maritime Alps. It has high valleys, lakes, forests and rock engravings in the Vallée des Merveilles. It borders Italy's Alpi Marittime park, and walkers use mountain refuges across both.
