Roman-Kosh

Roman-Kosh, at about 1,545 m, is the highest peak of the Crimean Mountains, in the Crimean Nature Reserve near Alushta. Beech and pine forests cover its slopes, and the summit plateau looks over the Black Sea coast. Hikers walk marked trails across the high karst plateaus, called yayla, and through the surrounding valleys.
