Tatra National Park
Tatra National Park (TANAP) covers the Slovak side of the High Tatras, the highest part of the Carpathian Mountains. Sharp granite peaks, glacial lakes and alpine meadows define the park. Hikers use marked trails from mountain huts and valley resorts, and climbers go up the higher summits.
