Vitosha

Vitosha is a mountain massif of about 2,292 m rising directly south of Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria. Its highest summit is Cherni Vrah, and the area is protected as Vitosha Nature Park, the oldest in the Balkans. Stone rivers, meadows and forests cover the upper slopes, and city residents come for walking and skiing.
