Wrangel Island lies in the Arctic Ocean between the East Siberian and Chukchi Seas and belongs to Russia. Its mountainous interior rises to 1,096 m. The island is a nature reserve with very limited access, so most visits are organised expeditions focused on wildlife and tundra landscapes.
