Aoraki / Mount Cook

Aoraki / Mount Cook is the highest mountain in New Zealand, at about 3,724 m, in the Southern Alps of the South Island. It stands in Aoraki / Mount Cook National Park, surrounded by glaciers and glacial lakes. The Hooker Valley Track is a popular walk for views of the peak, and mountaineers attempt the summit from the surrounding huts.
