Cascata delle Marmore is a tiered waterfall near Terni in Umbria, Italy, built by Roman engineers in 271 BC to divert the Velino river into the Nera. Water is released on a schedule, so the flow changes during the day. Paths and viewpoints climb alongside the three drops through the forest of the Nera valley.
