Caucasus Mountains

The Caucasus Mountains stretch between the Black Sea and the Caspian Sea, and form a natural divide between Eastern Europe and Western Asia. They consist of the Greater Caucasus in the north and the lower Lesser Caucasus in the south, shared by Russia, Georgia, Azerbaijan and Armenia. Trekking, climbing and village-to-village hiking are popular, notably in Georgia's Svaneti and Kazbegi regions.
