Darial Gorge

Darial Gorge is a narrow mountain gorge in the Caucasus on the Russian side of the border with Georgia, at about 1,447 m. The Terek River runs between steep rock walls. It has long served as a mountain passage, and travellers today walk, drive and photograph along it.
