Dettifoss
Dettifoss is a powerful waterfall on the Jökulsá á Fjöllum river in northeastern Iceland, in Vatnajökull National Park. The glacial river, gray with sediment, drops over a wide basalt edge into a canyon. Roads reach both banks, and the Jökulsárgljúfur canyon has hiking trails that link several other falls, including Selfoss.
