Aldeyjarfoss
Aldeyjarfoss is a waterfall on the Skjálfandafljót river in the north of Iceland, framed by tall basalt columns, near the start of the Sprengisandur highland route. The river drops into a blue-green pool with dark rock around it. A gravel road leads close to it, and a short walk reaches viewpoints.
