Egmont National Park
Egmont National Park, centred on Mount Taranaki in New Zealand's North Island, is a park around a near-perfect volcanic cone rising from the coastal plain. Forests, streams and waterfalls surround it, and the cone itself has alpine terrain. Walkers use tracks around the mountain, and experienced climbers go to the summit.
