Tongariro Alpine Crossing
The Tongariro Alpine Crossing is a one-day walking track through the volcanic landscape of Tongariro National Park on the North Island of New Zealand. It passes active craters, lava fields, coloured crater lakes and the Red Crater. Walkers cross the track in one direction, and shuttle services link the two ends.
