Iztaccihuatl

Iztaccíhuatl is a dormant volcano of 5,230 m in central Mexico, on the border of the states of Puebla and Mexico, next to Popocatépetl. Its long, snow-streaked ridge has the outline of a reclining woman, which gave it its name, the white woman in Nahuatl. Climbers use routes over the ridge from the pass of Paso de Cortés.
