Lake Chapala
Lake Chapala is the largest freshwater lake in Mexico, in the state of Jalisco, at 1,524 m, with mountains around it. Towns along its northern shore, such as Chapala and Ajijic, are popular with visitors. People walk the shoreline, take boats to the small islands and watch migratory birds.
