Kaçkar Mountains

The Kaçkar Mountains are a range in the Eastern Black Sea region of Turkey, with a highest point of 3,937 m. They run parallel to the coast and hold glacial lakes, alpine pastures and high plateaus used by seasonal herders. Trekkers cross the range on multi-day routes between highland villages.
