Lake Abaya

Lake Abaya is the largest lake in the Ethiopian Rift Valley, in southern Ethiopia, at 1,400 m. Its water is a reddish brown colour from the sediment it carries. Crocodiles and hippos live in it, and boat trips go to the Crocodile Market and nearby Nechisar National Park.
