Lake Kivu

Lake Kivu is one of the African Great Lakes, on the border of Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of the Congo, at 1,463 m. Steep green hills rise from the shore and many small islands dot the water. Visitors kayak, walk lakeside trails and cycle the hilly road along the Rwandan coast.
