Le Morne Brabant

Le Morne Brabant is a basalt mountain and peninsula of about 556 m on the southwest corner of Mauritius, with a lagoon along its coast. It was a refuge for escaped slaves in the past, and it is a UNESCO World Heritage site for its symbolic importance. A trail climbs to the summit plateau for views of the lagoon, and the surrounding waters attract kitesurfers.
